The EPOS project is a multicenter study carried out in four European countries (Cologne and Berlin in Germany, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Birmingham and Manchester in UK and Turku in Finland). Its aims to collect 250 patients vulnerable to psychosis, 50 patients in each country, and follow them for 18 months for detecting conversion rate to psychosis and studying factors predicting conversion. All patients have been recruited and baseline examinations have been carried out and follow-up examinations are going on. First preliminary results have been presented in congresses and will be published in near future.
Tavoite: Neljässä Euroopan maassa toteutettavassa EPOS-projektissa pyritään selvittämään psykoosin puhkeamista ennakoivia tekijöitä sekä psykoosialttiden potilaiden hoitoketjuja sekä hoidon kustannuksia.
