Cost of living
Students accepted to degree/ postgraduate studies at a Finnish university will be issued a visa/residence permit after showing that their own funds or a scholarship will cover living expenses in Finland. According to the Directorate of Immigration the needed sum is 6 000 euros before arrival in Finland. This deposit will be at the student?s disposal while studying in Finland. A new deposit is required at the beginning of each new academic year. More information: Finnish Immigration Service.
Please notice that Finland is a very expensive country, the income requirements by Finnish Immigration Service.
Health care

According to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior, students coming to Finland from non-EU/EEA countries after 1 September 2007 must have valid health insurance. More information: http://www.utu.fi/en/studying/students/health_insurance.html.
Working as a doctor/ dentist/ registered nurse in Finland
- A degree in medicine or in dentistry taken abroad and approved by National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira)
- Adequate written and oral knowledge of Finnish. Ability in Finnish may be shown by a certificate signed by an Assessor on the State Board on Language Examinations. More information in Information Guide.

Banks

Accomodation
University of Turku doesn't offer accodomation. You could use the services of Student Village Foundation of Turku: http://www.utu.fi/en/studying/students/degree/housing.html
Please notice that when renting a flat from the private housing officies be prepare to pay the security deposit beforehand which is usually a rent of 1 - 2 months. Check Survival Guide, chapter 6 Housing.
