Please notice that the exchange students have to follow the academic terms of University of Turku
- Autumn term 2012 (1.8. - 31.12.2012)
- Spring term 2013 (1.1. - 31.7.2013)
Application deadlines
- For the academic year 2012 - 2013 or the Autumn term 2012 31.5.2012
- For the Spring term 2013 1.11.2013
All students applying for an exchange to the Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku through international exchange programmes must be evaluated and selected by their home institutions.
According to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior, students coming to Finland from non-EU/EEA countries after 1 September 2007 must have valid health insurance. More information: http://www.utu.fi/en/studying/students/health_insurance.html
Please notice: the students applying to Medicine - Faculty of Medicine offers the courses for the exchange students of 4th or 5th year.
The application papers should consist of
- A completed application form. Fill the electronic application form after your home university selected you as a formal exchange student
Send by mail:
- Learning Agreement is part of the Application Form, so you do not have to send it separately. Please note that due to the amount of applications and enclosures we do not automatically send the Learning Agreement back to you. You will receive a signed Learning Agreement after arriving to Turku. If you need it before you arrive to Turku, please tick the relevant box in the Application Form.

Certificate of language skills: Language Assessment Sheet
Please note that you should assess your skills of the language you are going to study in. (English, Finnish and/or Swedish) Not required from native speakers or from those who have a valid TOEFL/IELTS test result. - the certification that your home university selected you as a formal exchange student
- If you are interested in taking courses from other institutions in Turku (such as Åbo Akademi University), please read instructions!
